| ‘Subspace’ – The Journey of a Submissive This was truly a journey – not only a journey into the mystery of being a submissive, but also into the realm of literature. Toya is to be congratulated on her outstanding success in both ventures. As a member of the older generation – the very older generation - The subject of D/s had always been somewhat of a mystery to me. In particular, I really could not grasp the purpose of willingly being a submissive. Toya has described her journey from her first hesitant steps to a full 24/7 relationship with a depth of feeling and understanding that makes each step a logical and reasonable progression of her inner fulfillment. The anecdotal style, narrated with warmth and wit, makes the reader feel like a welcome companion along the way. The inevitable intrusions of the mundane world of practicality have not been resented – rather they have been treated as challenges to their ingenuity and an opportunity to expand their individuality. From a trip around the internet I have found that the D/s community is significant and expanding. It is a philosophy that brings enjoyment to the life of its participants and does not intrude upon others. As such, any literature that imparts its principles, and yet does so in a truly delightful and readable manner deserves a place in any reference facility. RM |
